Hi. I am writing to you on behalf of Raseel (b. 21/3/2023) and  Maryam (b.13/3/2025)

2 little girls, who with their Mom & Dad are in need of relocation in Gaza. Like their parents Tima & Ahmad (their father being who I personally know) they were born in this part of the planet, and since birth, have found themselves existing amidst relentless violence. Presently, they are living in the kitchen of an abandoned building behind the Shifa Medical Complex However, Ahmad has located an apartment about a kilometer away that is $600 a month. He’s presently making $200 working as an accountant whilst Tima takes care of thei girls.

I took questions from some of you and carried out a recorded Zoom with Ahmad just two days ago. He got them in advance so he could thoughtfully reply in English; we were able to record 20 minutes of material before we lost signal. He reports that “the attacks have stopped, but the strikes along the yellow line haven’t”. We are in touch daily and he is in good spirits, proactive, and hopeful.

1st goal: My sons and I are fundraising for $10K in order that they can move into safer living quarters and buy necessary winter supplies.

2nd goal: Once the first goal is reached I will work to have the four of them evacuated from Gaza and brought to Florence where they have some family and my own legal advisor to assist them with asylum details. The evacuation alone will be $15K + flights, temporary housinge, etc. When the funds have been raised, I will personally travel to Cairo and (with the assistance of an Arabic speaking friend) handle the arrangements, and await their arrival in order to accompany them back to Italy.

I am not running this first goal through GoFundMe because of the delivery lag and the percentage lost in receiving contributions. Instead I am asking you to give whatever you feel comfortable directly on any of the below channels:

This is one family of many caught in the crossfire of a situation that is, if nothing else, full of complexities. I make no allegiance politically or religiously; my position is of that of a friend, a Mother, and a humanitarian. I believe 1000% that collectively, both goals are possible.
